Join us on Wednesday, July 26th at 1 PM as we welcome the Sand Lake Department of Public Works and a couple of their “big trucks”.  Children of all ages are welcome to come to look at the trucks and learn about how they are used to take care of our community.

Have you seen our little Kindness Rocks garden? At our recent Library Fair, we had participants paint these rocks with positive thoughts and ideas to share with everyone. We have created a little garden of ‘positivity’ with the extras. Love the idea? Join us Tuesday, July 25th at 2 PM to create your own!

The film class at SLCA was at the library today to work on their film project.  To see their finished product, stop by Sand Lake Center for the Arts on Friday, July 21st at 11:30am.


It’s going to be a busy week at Sand Lake Town Library!


Monday, July 17: Make-It Monday!  Kids ages 8-12 can celebrate World Emoticon Day by making a bottle cap emoticon magnet.  Drop in between 2 and 4 PM.


Monday, July 17 at 6 PM: More then Sad:  Suicide Prevention Education for Parents.  This program teaches parents how to recognize signs of depression and other mental health problems, initiate a conversation with their child, and get him or her help.


Tuesday, July 18 at 6 PM:  Family Movie Night:  Join us for Lego Batman.  Bring a pillow and blanket to get comfortable.  Popcorn and juice will be provided.


Wednesday, July 19:  Builders (Lego) Club:  Drop in between 4 and 6 PM to use our Lego bricks and KEVA planks to build a better world!


Friday, July 21:  Teddy Bear Sleep Over at the Library.  What happens at the Library after dark?  Drop your stuffed animal off with us by 4 PM on Friday, July 21st and pick them up by 4 PM on Saturday, July 22 to see a slideshow of what they did during their ‘sleepover.’
