The Sand Lake Town Library now has museum passes available to admit a family of 4 the museum.  Sand Lake Town Library patrons may use their library cards to borrow passes for 3 days.  Ask for the passes at the circulation desk.

Join us Sunday, May 19th from 1 to 4  for a reception to introduce our new Rensselaer Plateau  Alliance (RPA) collection of reference materials relevant to the Rensselaer Plateau assembled by the RPA.  The works deal with the natural history of the area, the social history of the towns on the Plateau, and the conservation and protection of the Plateau’s natural features.

At 2 PM, Jim Bonesteel, president of the RPA, will speak about the history of the Plateau and the efforts of the Alliance to conserve it.

Alice Howard, RPA’s librarian, will be on hand throughout the afternoon to answer questions about the collection and to demonstrate its database.

Refreshments will be served.
