Story Time – 

Every Thursday at 11:15 AM.  Join Ms. MaryMargaret for stories, songs and rhymes.  A simple craft will follow.  No sign up needed.



BEST (Bringing Educators and Students Together)  BEST is a FREE tutoring program for students in grades 3-10.  Stop in anytime between 4:30-7:30 pm to get help with homework, organization, research…whatever the students need!


Book Group  on Wednesdays

The Sand Lake Town Library Book Group meets at 7 pm on the first Wednesday of each month, except July and December, in the William Kennedy Program Room. Reading lists are available at the Library.


Library Board of Trustees Meetings –

The Board of Trustees meets regularly on the third Thursday of the month at 6:45pm. The public is welcome to attend.


Museum Passes**

We offer passes to the following area museums:


Albany Institute of History and Art,  Albany, NY.  Pass allows admittance to four people.  We have one pass.
The Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, MA.  Pass allows admittance to one adult.  We have one pass.
Museum of Innovation and Science (MiSci), Schenectady, NY.  Pass allows admittance to two adults and two youths to museum and planetarium.  We have two passes.
USS Slater (The Destroyer Escort Historical Museum), Albany, NY. Pass allows admittance to two adults and two children for tours during regular hours.  We have one pass.
**Museum passes are available to Sand Lake Town Library patrons. Passes can be checked out for 3 days and are available on a first come-first serve basis.  The passes must be returned to the Circulation Desk at Sand Lake Town Library.

Town Historian-

Bob Moore, the Sand Lake Town Historian, has an office here in the Library.  His office hours are on Wednesday and Thursday from 11 AM to 3 PM or by appointment.  He can be reached at 674-2026 ext 20.


Displays –

Check out the on-going displays of art work in the William Kennedy Program Room. Every two months we will feature a different local artist.
