B.E.S.T. on Tuesdays 4:30 – 7:30
BEST (Bringing Educators and Students Together) is back for the 2013-2014 school year. They will be starting up again on Tuesday, October 8th, from 4:30 to 7:30 here at the library. This program is for students in grades 3 through 10 who would like help with homework, organizational skills, study skills and/or strengthening concepts.
Read to Cringle on Wednesdays
Stop in on Wednesday at 3:30 to Read to Cringle, a lovely chocolate lab therapy dog. Cringle loves the attention and it’s a great way to practice reading aloud.
Book Group on Wednesdays
The Sand Lake Town Library Book Group meets at 7 pm on the first Wednesday of each month, except July and December, in the William Kennedy Program Room. Reading lists are available at the Library.
Library Board of Trustees Meetings -
The Board of Trustees meets regularly on the third Thursday of the month at 6:45pm. The public is welcome to attend.
Math & Science Tutoring 2nd and 4th Thursdays
Starting Thursday, November 14th, the SLTL will be hosting free upper level math and science tutoring. Tutoring will be available for algebra, trigonometry, chemistry and physics. The sessions will run from 4:00 to 6:00 PM every other Thursday.

The themes for 2013 are Dig into READING (kids) and Beneath the Surface (teens). June 22 the Library will hold its annual fair to kick off the Library’s summer reading program.
