Story Time - 

Thursdays at 11:15 AM.   Join Ms. MaryMargaret for stories, songs and rhymes.  A simple craft will follow.  No sign up needed.



B.E.S.T. on Tuesdays 4:30 – 7:30

BEST (Bringing Educators and Students Together) is back for the 2013-2014 school year. They will be starting up again on Tuesday, October 8th, from 4:30 to 7:30 here at the library.  This program is for students in grades 3 through 10 who would like help with homework, organizational skills, study skills and/or strengthening concepts.


Read to Cringle on Wednesdays

Stop in on Wednesday at 3:30 to Read to Cringle, a lovely chocolate lab therapy dog. Cringle loves the attention and it’s a great way to practice reading aloud.


Book Group  on Wednesdays

The Sand Lake Town Library Book Group meets at 7 pm on the first Wednesday of each month, except July and December, in the William Kennedy Program Room. Reading lists are available at the Library.


Library Board of Trustees Meetings -

The Board of Trustees meets regularly on the third Thursday of the month at 6:45pm. The public is welcome to attend.


Museum Passes -

We offer passes to the following area museums…

*NEW* Albany Institute of History and Art,  Albany, NY.  Pass allows admittance to four people.
Clark Museum, Williamstown, MA (June – October). Pass covers two adults; children are free. Admission to the museum is free Nov. – May.


Displays -

Check out the on-going displays of art work in the William Kennedy Program Room. Every two months we will feature a different local artist.


Summer reading -

The theme for 2014 is  Fizz, Boom, READJune 28 the Library will hold its annual fair to kick off the Library’s summer reading program. Click back soon for more information!
