Did you miss signing up the kids for summer reading at the Library Fair?  Don’t worry, it’s not too late!

Kids can sign up when they stop into the library and get their goody bag and reading record.

This season’s pass to the USS Slater is now available for checkout.  The pass is valid for up to 2 adults and 2 children and is checked out as a 3-day loan.  Other available passes include The Clark, Albany Institute of History & Art, and miSci.


We had a great day with our guests Uncharted Wild and Assemblyman Jake Ashby.  We kicked off the day with the opening of Girl Scout Troop 1580’s Scent Garden for the Visually Impaired, then enjoyed a story read by Assemblyman Ashby and visits with our friends from Uncharted Wild: several snakes, a bearded lizard, a pygmy hedgehog, a tortoise, and more.



Join us on Wednesday, June 5 as we discuss Warlight, by Michael Ondaatje.  Next month will be our annual picnic off-site.

Saturday, May 11, 12:30 – 3pm.  Stop in to see a mini planetarium or make a pocket solar system or a star-related craft.                         

Starting in June we will be closed on Sundays.

Sunday closings last through the end of September.
